We are grateful for the musicians who share their time and talents with us each year!

To play music at the market (10am – 1pm) during the 20205 regular season (May – November), complete the scheduler form by 2/28 for priority consideration.

Opener Opportunity for new or young musicians: We’re seeking talented new or young musicians to open for our main musicians. Openers play 9am – 9:30am. This is a good fit for talented young, new or beginning musicians who can play about 30 minutes of music for a moderate crowd. Fill out this form to apply as an opener! Opener musicians are scheduled on a rolling basis throughout the season.

Gorge Grown Food Network provide a free community outreach space at farmers markets as space allows. GGFN limits booth participation to nonprofit, government, education and other community groups which align with our mission: to build a resilient and inclusive food system that improves the health and well-being of our community, including:

  • Promotion of consumer support for local agriculture
  • Development of distribution channels for farm direct products
  • Preservation and stewardship of farmland
  • Food policy advocacy focused on our region’s agricultural community
  • Food and nutrition with an emphasis on local agriculture
  • Public outreach regarding sustainable agriculture or gardening practices
  • Promotion of civic engagement and community building in the Gorge

 

Gorge Grown does not permit canvassing to influence legislation at farmers markets. We do welcome voter registration. Read more info here.

 

When tabling at our markets, community groups are not permitted to:

  • Sell items from the booth, including raffle tickets, or fundraise, including donation jars and in-kind services
  • Be political or religious in a partisan manner or influence legislation
  • Collect signatures or canvas at the market (from a booth or area surrounding). Organizations may distribute information and collect names for mailing lists, volunteer opportunities etc.
  • Breakdown prior to the end of the market

Gorge Grown provide a free space for local organizations and small businesses to facilitate activities for our young market shoppers. Those facilitating kids activities are permitted to share information about their services, programs etc. Art projects, crafts, and educational activities are a great fit. If you’re unsure of what activity you’d like to provide, we can help you brainstorm ideas.

Kids Activity booth partners are not permitted to:

  • sell items, collect donations or fundraise
  • be political or religious in a partisan manner
  • collect signatures or canvas at the market
  • leave prior to the end of the market
Kid's Vending Opportunities (for vendors 17 and younger)

We welcome youth vendors and young entrepreneurs to sell eligible items at the Hood River Farmers Market!

Please read our Youth Vendor Policies and Procedures carefully to help us have a great season.

 

Products must be made or grown by the youth vendor. Youth must have an active role in the making or production of their product. Items that are a good fit for youth vendors:

    • Handmade craft or art products. (Bonus points if raw local materials are involved! Example: beeswax candles from local beeswax.)
    • Farm items: eggs*, homegrown and quality vegetables, fruits, herbs, or plant starts
    • Baked goods made under the Oregon Home Baking Bill Residential Kitchen Exemption*, including: baked goods and confectionary items that are not “potentially hazardous”.
