What’s Fresh at Gorge Grown
Hood River Farmers Market / SAFETY
We are operating the Hood River Farmers Market as an Essential Services, just like grocery stores. We’ve developed new protocols to help ensure the health and well-being being of our community while operating the market during the COVID 19 pandemic. Please review our guidelines before shopping at the market.
Free & Low-Cost Food Guide / ACCESS
The Free & Low-Cost Food Guide has information about free and low-cost food in the Gorge, including food pantries, resources at farmers markets, and more. This guide is organized by county. It is compiled by our team and the Food Security Coalition members. We update it regularly.
Gorge Gleaning / JOIN US
Nearly 40% of fresh food in the United States is wasted. Gorge Gleaning helps divert some of this fresh produce loss to those experiencing hunger by harvesting from farms, orchards and backyards. We coordinate volunteers to glean. Volunteers can keep up to 50% of what they harvest. The rest is donated to local food banks and food pantries.
