Vendor Applications

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at Gorge Grown Farmers Markets. Gorge Grown manages three farmers markets in the Columbia River Gorge: Hood River Farmers Market, Mercado del Valle and White Salmon Farmers Market. Farmers markets are one of several tools we use to increase access to fresh, healthy and local food, and to increase local outlets for small farmers and producers.

Our markets are  farmer and producer-centered markets, featuring products grown, raised or made by the vendor. Businesses who would like to be involved in the market but do not meet our producer or product guidelines may attend the market as business sponsors. Please contact us for sponsorship information.

We aim to support producers from the Columbia River Gorge. This includes Hood River, Wasco and Sherman counties in Oregon and Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington. Exceptions are sometimes made for vendors who are able to bring quality items that cannot be sourced from the Columbia River Gorge. At times also host vendors from outside our geographic scope if they are able to bring new or unique products to the market and meet our vendor guidelines.

Please see the vendor packet for a the full scope of vendor eligibility. Not sure if you qualify? Contact us at communications(at)gorgegrown.com with questions.

Please note: cut flowers and jewelry are the most saturated/ competitive product areas at the farmers market.

Gorge Grown does not allow the sale of the following:

  • Products not grown and/ or made by the vendor (with the exception of second-farm products produced in the Gorge with GGFN approval)
  • Bottled water, sodas and other packaged beverages not made in the Gorge and/or by the vendor.

Other Requirements

Permits & Licensing: All products at the market must be made and sold in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. Please consult the Licensing Requirements Chart in the back of the Vendor Packet. Vendors do not need relevant permits in hand to apply for the market but they must be in place by your first day of selling.

Market Attendance: Attendance is not required every weekend, however dates must be scheduled in advance per the Attendance Policy outlined in the vendor handbook.

Compliance with market policies: Vendor participation in Gorge Grown Farmers Markets is contingent on compliance with market policies outlined in the Vendor Packet and Vendor Agreement.

Nonprofit Booths, Youth Vendor, Community Table Info

Non-profit outreach booths are not available during the winter season. Check back in spring 2026.

Youth Vendor: We welcome youth vendors and young entrepreneurs to sell eligible items at the Hood River Farmers Market! Please read our Youth Vendor Policies and Procedures carefully to help us have a great season.

Volunteer: Complete Gorge Grown Food Network’s volunteer interest form and select a Farmers Market (and any other areas of interest)!

Community Table: The Community Table offers community members a low-risk and cost-effective way to try selling at the market. This is also an opportunity for vendors to sell quantities that would not justify a full booth. It’s a good place to learn marketing techniques and get a feel for selling at a farmers market. Crafts, arts and most other inedible goods are not permitted at the community table. Check back in spring 2026 for more information about updated community table policies.
