Challenging Hunger: Hood River County

This event is for members of our community to come together to learn more about child & family hunger in Hood River and the resources we have to challenge it. The event is split into short presentations and discussions with the intent of covering a wide range of topics. This is the second time this event has been done in the Columbia Gorge. Last year’s topics included gaining tools to support summer and after school meals for kids, opportunities to expand school lunch programs, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or food stamps) outreach. Stay tuned for more info on this year’s speakers and presentations.
